Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Parent Child Interaction Therapy

(PCIT)

PCIT is designed to address emotional and behavioral concerns in young children, aged 1 - 7. PCIT uses a live coaching model and works with caregivers and children together to empower parents with specific strategies to reduce anxiety and behavioral issues and promote child strengths.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

(CBT)

CBT is used to address a variety of emotional challenges in children and adolescents, including anxiety and depression. CBT provides children with tools to address negative thoughts and face challenging situations.

Exposure and Response Prevention

(ERP)

ERP is typically the recommended approach in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Participants are gradually put in situations that evoke their OCD symptoms and taught to avoid their compulsive responses.

Habit Reversal Training

(HRT)

HRT is used to treat tics, hair pulling, and skin picking. HRT involves increasing a child’s awareness of the behavior and replacing the maladaptive behavior with a more positive response.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

(CPP)

CPP is a model for children aged 0 - 6 who have experienced a traumatic event. CPP works with children and their caregivers together. Caregivers are trained in positive attunement to increase a child’s sense of security and restore their functioning after the trauma.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

(TFCBT)

TF-CBT is designed for children aged 3 -18 who have experienced a traumatic event. TF-CBT allows children to process their traumatic event in a safe space and address problematic thoughts associated with the trauma.
